Congratulations to the authors of an article published this year, “Temporal Factors and Missed Doses of Tuberculosis Treatment: A Causal Associations Approach to Analyses of Digital Adherence Data,” and to Ram Subbaraman and Jessica Haberer who wrote an editorial to accompany the article. The publication was one of the results of a trial in China, funded by Gates Foundation, to evaluate the impact of the MERM (Medication Event Reminder Monitor) device on TB patient adherence and health outcomes. The Arcady Group had the privilege of working with the team at Wisepill to develop the MERM and with researchers at the China CDC and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine who, with funding from Gates Foundation, conducted this important trial.
